Della Terra Studios Demonstration Page
Simply put, creating art can be a lot of work. From design to completion, this process can take quite a bit of time. Often times, specific tooling must be made to transform the design into reality. Although this is a labor of love, this is the reason that commissioning custom work can be expensive at times.
In these pages, we have documented some of our commissions from start to finish in an attempt to illustrate the labor and thought involved in creating art. Our hope is that you will have a better understanding where your money goes when you commission custom work, and pride of ownership for the piece that was created for you.
As these pages grow, you will see metalwork demonstrations for processes such as Raising sheet metal, forging with a Fly Press, Forging with a Power Hammer, and creating custom tooling.
